As the quiet of this Saturday evening settles around me, I come before You. I look back on the week that has passed, Lord. Examine my thoughts, my words, and my deeds. Where I have been proud, impatient, or turned to my own ways, please cleanse me. Wash me, and create in me a clean heart. Remove from me now all the disturbances of the world, the noise of entertainment and busyness. Help me to lay it all down, to prepare a quiet and receptive heart within me. Stir in me a true and deep longing—a hunger for Your Word and a thirst for genuine worship in Your presence tomorrow. I lift up those who will lead us. Prepare the heart of the speaker, anoint the worship, and bless our time of fellowship. May it all draw us closer to You. “Be still, and know that I am God.” Help me to rest in that truth tonight, to be still and know You. In Jesus Name Amen.
