**Evening Prayer for an Overwhelmed Heart**

God, as this day ends, I come to You honestly. The sheer weight of life—its demands, decisions, and constant motion—has left me feeling completely overwhelmed. My mind is crowded, and my spirit feels stretched thin.

Yet, even here, I find a moment of gratitude. Thank You for the strength that carried me through today, for the breath in my lungs, and for this quiet moment where I can stop and be still before You.

Your Word meets me in this exhaustion. I hold onto Your promise: **“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28, NIV)**. This is the rest I desperately need.

So now, I release it all. I lay down the heavy burden of life I’ve been trying to carry alone. I surrender the mental list, the unresolved problems, and the anxiety about tomorrow. I place every overwhelming thought and responsibility into Your capable hands.

Please, Lord, restore my soul. Quiet the storm within me. Heal my frayed emotions and grant me the deep, peaceful sleep that only You can give. Let my rest tonight be a physical act of trust.

I choose to entrust this night and all my tomorrows to You. You are the Shepherd who watches over me; I will not try to stand guard over my own life. My well-being is Your concern.

In the name of Jesus, my burden-bearer, I pray. May Your peace, which transcends all understanding, guard my heart and mind as I sleep. Amen.
