Letting go of this Thursday evening... Find a comfortable position, lying down or seated... allow your eyes to close gently... Begin by simply noticing the natural rhythm of your breath... the gentle rise and fall... no need to change anything... just awareness... Now, gently deepen the breath... a slow, steady inhale through the nose... and a longer, releasing exhale through the mouth... and a pause... feel the space in the pause... inhale slowly... exhale fully, letting go... and pause... Place a hand gently on your belly... breathe into that space... feel your hand rise with the inhale... and fall with the exhale... softening the abdomen with each release... Now, let the breath fill your chest... feel the gentle expansion of your ribcage... and on the exhale, feel it all soften... all tension melting away... Bring your awareness to your shoulders and neck... areas that often carry the weight of the day... invite them to soften... to release... with your next exhale, let any tightness drain away... like water flowing downward... Now, let this softening spread... from your shoulders... down your arms... through your torso... into your hips and legs... all the way to your feet... a wave of release moving slowly down through your entire body... heavy... relaxed... supported... Your body is quiet... your mind settling... like the stillness that comes at the end of a productive day. You have navigated this Thursday. As it is written, *"In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength."* Rest in this quiet trust now... In this deep stillness... simply be... breathing gently... resting completely... Whenever you are ready, you may begin to gently wiggle your fingers and toes... and transition peacefully into your rest... Goodnight.
