**Evening Prayer for a Student's Anxious Heart** Father, as this day of study closes, I come to You honestly. My mind is still racing with facts, deadlines, and the fear of not measuring up. I feel the familiar tightness of anxiety in my chest, the worry that my efforts won’t be enough. I name this feeling before You now. Yet even here, I find a grace to thank You for: the gift of a mind that can learn, and the perseverance You gave me to make it through today’s work. Your Word meets me in this anxious place: **“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7, NIV)** So tonight, I release it all. I lay down the textbooks, the notes, the looming exams, and the heavy weight of my own expectations. I surrender the frantic thoughts and the “what-ifs” that swirl in my mind. I let go of the need to have it all figured out right now. Please quiet my restless heart. Replace the noise of anxiety with Your deep, settling peace. Heal the tension in my spirit and grant my body the gift of truly restful sleep, far from the grip of worry. I choose now to entrust this night—and all my tomorrows—to Your capable hands. You hold my future, not my grades. My mind and my efforts are Yours. In the quiet, I receive Your peace. Watch over me as I sleep, and renew my strength for the dawn. In the name of Jesus, my true rest, Amen.
