**Morning Prayer for a Day of Conflict**

As this new day dawns, I come before You feeling overwhelmed by the conflict ahead. The weight of tension and the fear of difficult conversations press heavy on my heart this morning.

Yet in this fresh start, I thank You for the quiet of this moment, for the breath in my lungs, and for Your promise that Your mercies are new right now. I choose to receive this day as a gift from Your hand.

I declare Your word over my heart and this situation: *“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”* (Exodus 14:14, NIV). I stand on this promise, that I am not alone in this conflict.

I release my need to control the outcome, my anxiety over saying the wrong thing, and my fear of the other person’s reaction. I surrender my overwhelmed spirit to You.

Father, grant me the peace of Christ that guards my heart. Give me wisdom to know when to speak and when to listen. Fill me with Your Spirit’s patience and clarity, that my words—or my silence—might reflect Your grace.

Today, I commit to pausing and breathing a silent prayer for Your perspective before I respond in any tense moment.

I step into this day covered by Your peace, guided by Your wisdom, and strengthened by Your presence. May my actions, even in conflict, point others to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
