**Evening Prayer for a Day of Loss and Anxiety**

Father, as this day ends, I come to You with a heart that feels both heavy and unsettled. I acknowledge the deep anxiety that has settled in after the shock of losing my job, and the fear of what tomorrow may hold.

Yet, even here, I can find a quiet grace to thank You: for the breath in my lungs tonight, for the roof over my head, and for the truth that my security was never truly in a title or a paycheck, but in You.

Your Word meets me in this anxious place. You promise, **“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7, NIV)**. I choose to hold onto this now.

So tonight, I release it all. I surrender the job I lost, the plans that are now uncertain, and the tight knot of anxiety in my chest. I lay every “what if” and financial worry at the foot of Your cross.

Lord Jesus, You understand our fears. Please calm the storm within me. Quiet my racing thoughts and restore my soul with a peace that makes no sense to the world. Grant me the gift of deep, restorative sleep, free from the churning of worry.

I consciously entrust this night, and all my tomorrows, into Your capable and loving hands. I choose to believe that You are working even in this loss, and that You hold my future.

In the quiet assurance of Your presence, I close my eyes. Watch over me, my family, and our needs through the night. In the name of Jesus, my true provider, I pray.
