As the quiet of this Saturday evening settles around me, I come before You, Lord. I look back on the week that has passed. Please examine my thoughts, my words, and my deeds. Forgive where I have fallen short, and cleanse my heart with Your grace. Remove from me now all the noise and disturbances of the world. Help me to lay aside every distraction, that I might prepare a quiet and attentive heart for You. Stir within me a true and deep longing for Your Word and for the sacred joy of worship. I lift up tomorrow’s gathering to You. Bless the one who will bring Your message. Anoint our time of worship and fellowship, that it may honor You and refresh every soul. “Be still, and know that I am God.” Help me to rest in that truth tonight, to be still and know You. In Jesus Name Amen.
