**Morning Prayer for the Weary Overthinker** Good morning, Lord. As this new day dawns, I come to You feeling weary, my mind already circling with thoughts I cannot settle. I acknowledge this challenge of overthinking and this tiredness in my spirit as I begin. Thank You for the gift of this fresh morning, for the quiet moment before the rush, and for the mercy that Your presence is here with me, even in my mental fatigue. Today, I hold to Your promise: *“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”* (Philippians 4:6-7, NIV). Your peace can guard this weary mind. I release to You the endless loops of thought, the “what-ifs,” and the weight of trying to figure everything out on my own. I lay down the burden of my own understanding. Father, cut through the mental fog. Grant me the clarity to distinguish between productive thought and fruitless worry. Holy Spirit, be the quiet, steadying voice within the noise. Christ, be my anchor when my thoughts feel adrift. Today, I commit to pausing and speaking a simple prayer of trust whenever I feel my thoughts beginning to spiral. I will choose to redirect my focus to one concrete task or one truth about You. I step into this day not in my own strength, but carried by Your grace. Guard my mind with Your peace. Lead my thoughts captive to Your truth. May my weariness find its rest in You, and my overthinking be stilled by Your sovereign care. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
