**Evening Prayer for the Weary After Job Loss**

Father, tonight I come to You weary in body and heavy in heart. The shock and weight of today’s loss feel like a deep ache. I’m tired, Lord—tired in my spirit and tired from carrying this sudden burden.

Yet even here, in this weariness, I choose to thank You. Thank You for being my constant when employment is not. Thank You for the breath in my lungs tonight and for the promise that my worth is found in You, not in a title or a paycheck.

Your Word says, **“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)** I come to You now, Jesus. I bring You this exhaustion and this fear.

I release this day and its painful news into Your hands. I let go of the plans I had, the security I felt, and the anxiety about tomorrow. I lay down the heavy cloak of “what if” and “what now.” I surrender it all.

Please restore my soul. Quiet the racing thoughts of provision and purpose. Heal the places in my heart that feel rejected or afraid. Grant me a deep, physical rest tonight—a sleep that rebuilds and refreshes my weary frame.

Tonight, I choose to trust not in a job, but in You, the Provider. I entrust my future, my family, and my needs to Your faithful care. I release my grip and my need to figure it out tonight.

Watch over me as I sleep. May Your peace, which transcends all understanding, guard my heart and my mind in Christ Jesus. In His name, I pray. Amen.
