I bow before the Cross, this sacred wood, the instrument of our salvation. I adore You, Lord Jesus, lifted high, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. My heart is pierced with sorrow. For my sins, for the sins of all, You endured this agony. My transgressions, my failings, my pride… they are the nails, the thorns, the spear. I am so sorry. Grant me the grace, Lord, to unite my small sufferings, my daily crosses, with Your perfect sacrifice. Let my pain find meaning in Yours, my weakness made strong by Your surrender. For the whole world, for which You poured out Your life, I pray. For the broken, the lost, the despairing. For those who do not yet know this love. For all creation groaning for redemption. “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” Yet You are holy, enthroned on the praises of Your people. From the dust of death, You will bring forth life. Into Your wounded hands, I commend my spirit. in Jesus Name Amen
